The contest is open to worldwide for 8th, 9th or 10th-grade students. In what way, if any, has your own thinking about such ideas been affected by reading and reflecting upon Anthem?

What does this mean? To ensure the anonymity of our participants, essay cover sheets are removed after the first round. Decisions of the judges are final. To be considered eligible for Ayn Rand essay scholarships, the candidates must follow the given criteria: Entrant must be in the 8th, 9th or 10th grade.

Judges will look for writing that is clear, articulate and logically organized. Politically, Anthem depicts a completely collectivist society.

The first-place essay may be posted in its entirety on any of these websites with full credit given to the author. Is Prometheus an egoist? Analyze that scene in terms of the wider themes in the book.

The essay must be no fewer than and no more than 1, words in length, double-spaced. Verification of school enrollment will be required for all winning entrants.

Contest is open to students worldwide, except where void or prohibited by law. Essays must be written in English only. Entrant must be in the 11th or 12th grade for at least one semester during the school year in which the contest is held.

Equality knows that his invention will benefit mankind greatly. Rules No application is required.
