I am terribly disappointed, and I have no idea whether the changes were necessary simply to milk as much money as possible out of the whole project spreading out the story to get 3 long movies, even if that meant adding many new thingsor whether Jackson actually thinks he knows better than Tolkien Ask young readers if they think this cartoon gets it right.

* This Review contains a few spoilers* The Battle of Five Armies The last part of a poor trilogy, it made me exited and gave me hope, because maybe it could be like the Return of The king but no.

This movie was an embarrassment for Peter Jackson, the man who just got himself a star on the street of Hollywood.

The film's first mildly humorous moment, a line reading from Martin Freeman, comes almost 40 minutes in, and it's refreshing, but it highlights the humorlessness of the rest/5.
